While the northeast is getting pounded by a holiday snowstorm, Â we had the first snow in 100 years on Christmas day in Atlanta. Not much more than a sprinkling of powder but the ice crystals on the tree limbs shimmered in early morning. Painting a dusting of snow is a challenge without the drama of deep blue/purple shadows.
A huge raccoon showed up near the oak tree on Xmas eve, refusing to leave after it ignored my shouting.
The kitten, Sonny, is growing up. She’s a better lap cat than her mom, who prefers the wild outdoors, unless it’s naptime.

Kittens and snow – what can be more like Christmas!
Those cats are adorable, but let’s see some pictures of the racoon. 🙂 Thanks, Victoria, for a year of interesting dispatches – you’ve got my favorite blog. Happy holidays!
Sweet little kitty and a beautiful painting!
