I spent the last few days painting a couple of small pieces and then painted over an older work that was larger. The colors now are just beginning to be vivid and there are some electric oranges and greens in the tree border at the edge of my backyard.

I’m reading ‘True Colors’, Anthony Haden-Guest‘s gossipy 1996 art documentation of the rise and fall of artists in the high life 1980’s. It’s revealing to recognize similar sabotage tactics in the art world, that I’ve witnessed in corporate entities. Altman’s ‘The Player’ comes to mind.
